- hackintosh is running a modified version of OS X on an intel machine
- cool.. but a lil much for a non geek just looking to get apple feel on a non apple machine
- and its impossible to get on a AMD machine... so fuck it
- ON TOP OF THAT.... OS X sucks now... its too bloated... there are enough OS replacements like songbird(itunes killer) to no longer need the apple OS in our lives

- they are OS apps....and they are free...
- no more need for paying for itunes songs when you preload the OS with Opera web browser and instructions on how to get music with torrents.....
- no more need for photoshop when it ships with GIMP or a hacked version of XP photoshop.....
- its giving a true mac feel to the Open Source/FREE OS comunity
- gOS is close but too combative to a real geek trying to get work done

- apple is slow on development right now with things like embedded GPS in laptops and netbooks... so geeks are looking for small machines and good free OS choices
